I don’t follow football. At all. But I did watch the second half of the Superbowl the Broncos were in – Superbowl 50 (“L”). Mainly because of one of my favorite breweries a new brew just for it – “Oatmaha” which was apparently a play on words with the offense that Payton Manning liked to run as the Quarterback for the Broncos.
Anyway, my favorite part was how the game and the aftermath – the parade brought the community together. Reminded me of the world cup, when it feels all eyes are on one thing and then the community who wins celebrates together afterward.
Maybe it’s just me playing competitive sports all throughout high school and college that makes me more perceptive to these things.
