I ran the Grandma’s half marathon in Duluth, Minnesota the summer of 2008. It was a family event as my cousins, aunts, and uncles were all there both running and spectating the event.
This was my first visit to Duluth and it quickly earned “favorite Minnesota city” in my book as I really enjoyed it.
Grandma’s is a very popular race for competitive and recreational runners alike. One most every clear day, you can see “Two Harbors” from the starting line, even from the Marathon start. Two Harbors is the finish point, which is quite intimidating as to how small they are when you start.
We also got to visit the Glensheen Mansion, a haunted mansion experience in Duluth.
